(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 26, 2011) In a week 16 Ultimate Pyramid FFL - Bear Bryant League matchup, Robo's Lords of Pillage beat a strong Skull Crushers team by a score of 132.90 to 112.25, extending the winning streak for Robo's Lords of Pillage to 3 games.
Robo's Lords of Pillage were led to their 20.65 point victory by a 32.90 point effort from Tom Brady, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 304 passing yards and 1 passing TD in addition to 17 rushing yards. With this performance, Brady was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 22.90 point effort from Wes Welker, who beat the Miami Dolphins defense for 138 receiving yards in addition to 7 rushing yards.
"We sent a message here today," Robo's Lords of Pillage coach Robo Watson said.
Skull Crushers were helped out in a losing cause by a 35.95 point effort from Aaron Rodgers, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 283 passing yards and 5 passing TDs in addition to 18 rushing yards. With this performance, Rodgers was the number 1 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 27.70 point effort from Jordy Nelson, who beat the Chicago Bears defense for 115 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs.
"We dug ourselves a deep hole," Skull Crushers coach Mark Edgar said.
Compounding the issue, Skull Crushers could have scored 143.45 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mark Edgar left key players like Dustin Keller and his corresponding 15.70 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Robo's Lords of Pillage to 11-5, and drops Skull Crushers to a record of 12-4.
