| Anyone want to weigh in on what the playoff scenerios are shaping up to look like in here? Since I can't pull a link showing the tiebreaker schedules at the moment...thought I'd ask if someone else has a firm grasp on things. With such a muddle of teams and with half the league making playoffs (definately fun..but a bit crazy that half of us get in), it appears way beyond actually figuring out exactly yet anyways. Looks like we have some huge playoff implication games this week. Titans vs. FinFan, Browns Vs. Pismo, & Cobra's vs. Bengals Titans vs. fins is a classic matchup of our league's two hottest teams with Titan winning SIX in a row and FinFan winning 4 in a row. I'm guessing winner of this game can squeeze into a playoff spot..though my FinFan team sure is lagging in the total-points area. Looks like Cobra's and Bengals are both a win away from the playoffs for certain, so winner of that matchup is pretty much a lock for a playoff spot and the likely divisional win and bye week. Brown's can likely secure a spot with a win against Pismo...but a Pismo win, putting both at 6-6, makes things extra jumbled as it looks unlikely that both Browns and Pismo would squeeze in. It's possible the BLUE division could be sending 5 entries to the playoffs as it has 5 teams with a winning record at this point. With half the teams making the playoffs...I'm guessing a record above average will get you in. The blue division will have a bonified leader at 8-4 after this week, two teams at 7-5 for sure...and at least 1 team at 6-6 after this week. Roadkill definately needs to mopup the lowly Bruins to also reach 7-5 and in contention IMHO! |

| Monday Night Madness Quite the exciting final week with big showdowns and playoff implications. I find it dissapointing that nobody has been chiming in or talking about things. Looks like we'll have a playoff log-jam that will definately include some tiebreaker action. If I win tonight over Cobras, and RoadWarrior can hold on vs. Titans...we'll have 6 teams at 7-6, 5 of which will have 5-5 records in their divisions. I have no clue how tiebreakers will pan out... Browns will win division record tiebreaker...ironically with the least total points of any possible playoff team. Instead of figuring it all out...i'll just wait and see what morning brings! Maybe Andre Johnson will sit out tonight and keep Pismo from his 3 points he needs to pull out the win and stay in the playoff picture. More likely is that Matt Jones gets shut out and I fail to get the 3 points I need to keep me in playoff hunt. Amazing how tonight's meaningless football game of the sad Texans and Jaguars has huge playoff implications across our league--settling the possible fate of Pismo, Warriors, and myself! Hope everyone has enjoyed the league and the season--even though most of you haven't posted a single message after the draft. Happy Holidays and hope you are all back next season!! |

|  No playoff brackets yet available.... I don't understand why the league settings don't have this already figured out and posted. Looks like I'll be the odd man out. 4 of us tied at 7-6 for the 3 playoff spots. Brown's gets in for sure...even though he has least points, due to his 6-4 divisional record. At that point, Pismo, Cobras, FinFan all have 5-5 divisional record, and so I lose out on the total points tiebreaker for having fewer points than either of them. But...can't know for certain since nothing is posted. Hello??? Anybody alive in this league?????? I'm gonna pick Titans to win it all... from 0-5 to 8-5.....very impressive!! |

| Fin, since you lost to Pismo head to head weeks ago. I think that puts you at top seed bye in the Toilet Bowl with a chance to win a draft pick. Since I didn't finish with a division win and bye week I would almost rather be playing for a draft pick. With my WRs I've got no chance for money! Good luck all!

| Yeah... I was trying to find a way that I could sneak into the playoffs but couldn't. Stupid Brown's pulled off the 6-4 divisional record, setting him above all the other 7-6 teams. If he'd have been 5-5 in-division like the rest of he, he'd be the bubble boy left on the outside with fewer points than myself....but alas, I didn't get it done. I was just a few mis-steps away from being a real contender. I'm starting to wonder if Titan's 0-5 start is what propelled him to victory...constantly being on top of the waiver priority the first month-- landing emerging studs like Lance Moore. I land Lance Moore in week 5 instead of Titans, and I'm playoff bound for sure as I wouldn't have been stuck playing Ocho-Stinko or Matt Jones every week and often getting 8 points from my WR#3 slot. Joseph Addai stunk it up for me too though for over a month...and I just KNEW i shoulda grabbed Kurt Warner....stupid "dynasty thinking" keeping me from grabbing old guys like him and Favre!! Best of luck everyone in the playoffs....have a safe holiday season and new year. Hopefully commish will post our off-season schedule such as when pre-season drafts begin, when trading ability resumes, and such... but I won't hold my breath seeing we can't even get a playoff bracket posted! | Also...want to apologize for posting what I thought was an accurate description of the playoffs..obviously shorting myself. I, for whatever reason, just implemented some tie-break rules from a different non GLFFL, but MFL-run league into my logic which was obviously flawed thinking you could compare divisonal records across divisions. I had a sneaky feeling even 3-4 weeks ago that total points was really going to come into play! |
