Hampton Headhunters (90.6) at Texas Tagliablues (165.8)

(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 AQA 2008 classic, Texas Tagliablues embarrassed a hapless Hampton Headhunters team by a score of 165.8 to 90.6, extending the winning streak for Texas Tagliablues to 4 games.

Texas Tagliablues were led to their 75.2 point victory by a 32.0 point effort from Matt Cassel, who beat the Arizona Cardinals defense for 345 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 19 rushing yards. With this performance, Cassel was the number 3 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 20.6 point effort from Larry Fitzgerald, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 101 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"You dream about this as a kid," Texas Tagliablues coach Shawn said.

Hampton Headhunters were helped out in a losing cause by a 15.0 point effort from Lamont Jordan. With this performance, Jordan was the number 2 ranked fullback for week 16. They also got help from a 13.0 point effort from Tony Gonzalez, who snuck past the Miami Dolphins defense for 64 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD.

"We came up a little short," Hampton Headhunters coach Kevin said.

Hampton Headhunters drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 11 out of 14 other potential opponents in week 16.

This brings the record for Texas Tagliablues to 10-2, and drops Hampton Headhunters to a record of 6-6.
