(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 22, 2008) In a week 16 Browns Backers League 1 battle, *PUSSYDOGS beat a strong *Bernie's Bombers team by a score of 112.45 to 85.95, extending the winning streak for *PUSSYDOGS to 3 games.
*PUSSYDOGS were led to their 26.50 point victory by a 21.50 point effort from Derrick Ward, who tore apart the Carolina Panthers defense for 215 rushing yards. With this performance, Ward was the number 3 ranked running back for week 16. They also got help from a 13.75 point effort from Matt Schaub, who got by the Oakland Raiders defense for 255 passing yards in addition to 10 rushing yards. "It wasn't pretty but we'll take it," *PUSSYDOGS coach Steve Mitchell said. *Bernie's Bombers were helped out in a losing cause by a 17.30 point effort from Fred Jackson, who snuck past the Denver Broncos defense for 43 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 70 receiving yards. They also got help from a 16.70 point effort from Anthony Fasano, who snuck past the Kansas City Chiefs defense for 47 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs. "We came out flat," *Bernie's Bombers coach Kirk Pavelich said. Causing further embarrassment, *Bernie's Bombers could have scored 116.65 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Kirk Pavelich left key players like Matt Cassel and his corresponding 31.15 points on the bench. This brings the record for *PUSSYDOGS to 9-7, and drops *Bernie's Bombers to a record of 8-8. | ||
